We recently worked on the sweetest shoot for Carolina Bride Magazine! We were given the challenge to give new life to some tried and true southern traditions. Here are some of our favorites from “Southern With a Twist” which can be found in print in the July 2014 issue of Carolina Bride magazine:
The Lace: We created this hanging lace chandelier and provided all the pretties for the table. The lovely flowers are from New Creations Flower Company.
The Mason Jar: We provided the little jam jars and we DIYed these cute little shovels!
The Silhouette: We coordinated the handmade elements in this scene, the wooden silhouettes were created by Vino Backyard Design and the lovely wooden guest book was made by Three Trees Bindery.
The Monogram: We provided all of the antique silver vessels for this mixed metallics sweets table!
A very special thanks to Southern Savvy Events for planning this shoot and to Susan Kelly Photography for the lovely photographs!

It is no secret that we are pretty much obsessed with everything that local designer Beautiful Idiot Clothing makes, here is Hollie talking about how it all started and what they are bringing to market:
We started out making adorable outfits for the little ones, as Rosie and Pepe. One day we finally realized that we could create wonderful pieces for adults, inspired by a style we would want to wear ourselves. With my background in fashion, we began to make prototype dresses and hand painted zip pouches. Perfect pieces for a night out in Plaza Midwood!
Anthony, feeling left out, suggested we try to make unique skinny ties. The first fabric we used in the process was actually an up-cycled plaid pajama set from Anthony’s brother. We now try to hunt down awesome fabrics from thrift stores, and closets alike, for most of our unique ties. Beautiful Idiot Clothing is beyond ecstatic to bring these styles to the VTGCLT Summer Market!

We just love the unique designs that Stephen and Nathan from Powder Studios are creating:
Powder Studio designs original hand-made porcelain and custom luminaries. We are a small ceramics studio in NoDa that focuses on crafting products that will make you smile, and doing our part to add a tiny bit of vibrancy to Charlotte’s local culture.
